Campus Stories

From graduates, faculty

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

Peer Mentors serve as student liaisons for new first-year students, build a sense of academic community among a small group of first-year students and serve as resources for first-year students with questions or concerns.

All Peer Mentors are required to take a one-credit class that meets every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm in the second half of the spring 2013 semester. Students must be able to attend this class to participate in the program.

The application deadline is noon, Monday, Oct. 22.
