Let the countdown begin … two days and counting

3:27 p.m., Oct. 5, 2012--The University of Delaware’s 2012 United Way campaign -- co-chaired by Interim Provost Nancy Brickhouse and Vice President for Finance and Administration J.J. Davis -- is set to begin. 

The University of Delaware United Way campaign begins Monday, Oct. 8, and continues through Nov. 16.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

Mark your calendars and help spread the word. 

Since the beginning of this countdown, some amazing organizations that put others first and help those in our community have been highlighted.

The partner agencies mentioned thus far are Delaware Kids Connection, Wilmington HOPE Commission, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Children and Families First, Prevent Child Abuse Delaware and the Delaware SPCA. 

The final partner agency to be recognized in this United Way campaign countdown is the National Remember Our Troops Campaign.

National Remember Our Troops Campaign is a “public charity dedicated to remembering all military service members, all veterans and their families, remembering their service and sacrifice, supporting those in need to the best of our ability and letting them know they are not forgotten.”
