Let the countdown begin … three days and counting

7:14 p.m., Oct. 4, 2012--The University of Delaware’s 2012 United Way campaign — co-chaired by Interim Provost Nancy Brickhouse and Vice President for Finance and Administration J.J. Davis — will begin Oct. 8 and continues through Nov. 16.

The University of Delaware has been working closely with United Way of Delaware to help raise awareness of all of the opportunities out there to help make a difference. So far, five organizations that help impact our local communities have been highlighted. Today's feature is  Delaware SPCA.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

Delaware SPCA “is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of animal cruelty, neglect and overpopulation by providing services for people and their companion animals since 1873. We do not receive state or county funding, and there is no national SPCA. We rely solely on local donations to carry on our work for the animals.”
