University of Delaware Library offers ARTstor workshop

8:06 a.m., Oct. 9, 2012--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Teaching and Learning with Images: Introduction to ARTstor” on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

ARTstor is a digital library of more than one million images in arts, architecture, humanities, social sciences and sciences.

Studio recording intro

The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on studio recording techniques on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 8.

Campus housing tours

Though the fall semester just began, UD students are contemplating where they would like to live for the next academic year and Residence Life and Housing will host a walking tour of upper division areas on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The workshop will teach participants how to search for images, create and manage image groups, add images and download images for use in presentations.

The workshop will be held from 2-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Library Instruction Room (116A) on the first floor of the Morris Library. Presenters will be Susan Davi, associate librarian, Collection Development Department, and Derek Churchill, director, Visual Resources Collection, Art History Department.

The workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required, and can be completed online.
