Housing application changes

In order to manage the occupancy of University of Delaware housing so that all second-year students who wish to live on campus for 2016-17 have the greatest opportunity to do so, the housing application process for returning and upper-division students will change significantly beginning in September 2015.

The victim's credit card was used her at two locations in Newark (K-Mart and Burlington Coat Factory) and two locations in Smyrna (Acme and Rite-Aid). They purchased clothing and gift cards in Newark and food and gift cards in Smyrna.

UD Police have released surveillance photos of the men, and they resemble two suspects who entered UD buildings and took money from vending machines in May and August of this year.

The first suspect is described at 35-40 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing from 220-250 pounds and last seen wearing a white dress shirt, yellow tie, dark dress pants and a dark English driving hat. The second suspect is described as 50-55 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds and last seen wearing a pink dress shirt, dark tie, brown pants and jacket and a brown fedora-type hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the UD Police criminal investigations unit at 302-831-7433 or 302-831-2222.

Members of the University community are reminded not to leave valuables unattended, even for brief times, and to report all suspicious activity by calling 302-831-2222. Additional safety tips are available on the Public Safety website
