Dec. 6: One-act plays

Student scriptwriters to present their work at public reading

8:04 a.m., Nov. 29, 2012--University of Delaware student playwrights will present several one-act plays on Thursday, Dec. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Bacchus Theatre in Perkins Student Center.

The event, expected to be about two hours long, is free and open to the public. At the end of the readings, the audience will have an opportunity to comment briefly on the plays.

Through April 30: 'Clean Elections' exhibition

The University of Delaware Library has announced the opening of a new exhibition, "Clean Elections: Senator John J. Williams of Delaware and the Voting Rights Act of 1965," which will be on view April 1-30.

April 6-11: Public Health Week

Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn will kick off the University of Delaware's celebration of National Public Health Week 2015, to be held from April 6-11 at the STAR Campus.

The plays to be presented have been written this semester by students in a script-writing workshop taught by Jeanne Murray Walker, professor and head of creative writing in the Department of English.
