University announces late-night study locations for final exams

1:19 p.m., Nov. 26, 2012--Late-night campus study locations are available for use by University of Delaware students before and during fall semester final exams.

The study locations include Morris Library and the Morris Library Commons, Daugherty Hall, the Trabant University Center Food Court, Rooms 209 and 219 in Trabant, and the Kirkwood Room in the Perkins Student Center.

2FA protects you

The Morris Library is open as follows:

  • Friday, Nov. 30, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 1, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 2, opens at 11 a.m. and remains open 24 hours a day until Friday, Dec. 14, when the Morris Library closes at 7 p.m.

Morris Library Commons is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the last day of exams, closing at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14. The commons offers wired and wireless Internet access, vending machines and restrooms and is located adjacent to the Morris Library entrance. 

The electronic library of the University of Delaware Library, which is available 24/7 online, provides access for UD faculty, students and staff to a rich array of online library resources including DELCAT, electronic reserves, databases, full-text information, electronic journals and newspapers, Guides to the Internet, the Institutional Repository and much more.

Daugherty Hall in the Trabant University Center is open from:

  • 7 a.m.-2 a.m., Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6 and 7; 
  • 9 a.m.-2 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9;
  • 7 a.m.-2 a.m., Monday through Thursday, Dec. 10-13; and 
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14.

The Trabant Food Court will be open for study from:

  • 7:30 a.m. to midnight, Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6 and 7, and Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 11 and 12;
  • 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Dec. 13;
  • 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday and Monday, Dec. 9 and 10; and
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14.

Room 209 in the Trabant University Center will be open for study from:

  • 9 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9;
  • 7 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, and Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 12 and 13;
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14.
  • Not available on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Room 219 in the Trabant University Center will be open for study from:

  • 9 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9;
  • 7 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Dec. 10-13; and
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14.

The Kirkwood Room in the Perkins Student Center will be open for study from:

  • 7 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6 and 7, and Monday through Thursday, Dec. 10-13;
  • 9 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9; and
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14.

For an extra boost during extended hours of late-night study, the Rodney and Russell dining halls will offer “PJs, Pancakes and Ice Cream” from 10 to 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9.
