Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity plans holiday kickoff event
3:20 p.m., Nov. 27, 2012--Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at the University of Delaware will host a holiday kickoff event, including a presentation of the movie Elf, from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Rodney Room of the Perkins Student Center.
The event will include holiday favorites, such as cookie decorating, creating gingerbread houses, and much more. The suggested donation is $2 and all proceeds will benefit Alpha Phi Omega’s philanthropy, Supporting Kidds.

Supporting Kidds is a center for grieving children and their families. Located in Hockessin, Del., the center supports and educates children and their families after the loss of a loved one.
The center has a variety of offerings for children, including but not limited to group counseling and individual sessions to aid children in the difficulty grieving process.
Supporting Kidds survives on donations, and Alpha Phi Omega has chosen to assist the organization in its first campuswide philanthropic event.
Alpha Phi Omega is a nationwide community service organization on campus that actively provides service to the University, community and nation as participating citizens.
