The University-wide competition is sponsored jointly by HRIM and the UDairy Creamery, and is open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Entries will be accepted online through May 15, and should describe the flavors, ingredients and other characteristics that would best represent an anniversary ice cream.
From the entries, three flavors will be selected as finalists, and students, faculty, staff and alumni will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite.
The contest winner will receive a $75 Vita Nova gift certificate dinner for two (alcoholic beverages not included).
In addition, the selected signature flavor of ice cream will be served throughout the anniversary year in Vita Nova, the student-run restaurant in the Trabant University Center, and the Darden Bistro, HRIM’s casual fare dining option that offers “light fare,” cocktails and an extensive wine selection.
