University Library offers Cochrane Library database collection
10:07 a.m., May 1, 2013--The University of Delaware Library has announced the availability of The Cochrane Library, a new collection of six databases containing different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform health care decision-making.
The Cochrane Library, published by John Wiley & Sons, is available for licensed use by University of Delaware students, faculty and staff and is accessible from the Library Database page or directly at this site.

The Cochrane Library is a collection of six databases, which include:
- Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews;
- Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials;
- Cochrane Methodology Register;
- Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects;
- Health Technology Assessment Database; and
- National Health Service (NHS) Economic Evaluation Database
The University Library also provides online access to Medline, Web of Science and Scopus. Links to full-text journal articles and other content is available for those journals to which the library has a subscription for online access and to other items, including books that the library has acquired in electronic format.
In addition, the electronic library, which provides a rich array of resources online, is available 24/7. The web page of the University of Delaware Library provides an online gateway to the electronic library including DELCAT, WorldCat Local, Research Guides, databases, eJournals, eBbooks, eNewspapers, finding aids for Special Collections, reserve materials, interlibrary loan and much, much more.
