Newark announces annual Wine and Dine Downtown event
8:19 a.m., March 7, 2013--Newark will hold its annual Wine and Dine Downtown event from 2-8 p.m., Saturday, March 23.
The unique culinary and wine pairing event features a dazzling array of tasty delights prepared by the chefs of downtown Newark’s very own restaurants complemented by fine wines from around the world. Seventeen of downtown’s restaurants have selected wines to feature and created a menu to showcase their culinary abilities.

Restaurant-wine pairings will offer a $2 per two-ounce taste of wine. Premium tastings and flights may also be available at varying prices.
Special guest Julie Johnson, owner and winemaker of Tres Sabores Winery in Napa Valley, Calif., will be at the Stone Balloon Winehouse pouring her very special wines.
No tickets are required for the event, as attendees can simply pick up a wine glass at any participating restaurant and pay as they go.
Attendees must be at least 21 years of age with proper I.D. to participate in wine tastings.

The first 2,000 attendees will receive a complimentary commemorative wine tasting glass and wine pouch.
