Severe weather predicted

Strong storms predicted in the area Thursday

5:05 p.m., June 12, 2013--The Delaware Emergency Management Agency is predicting that a strong storm system will bring the threat of severe weather and flooding to the region on Thursday, June 13.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected, with the higher amounts over northern portions of the forecast area.

According to DEMA, given the recent heavy rainfall, any additional significant rainfall brings the threat of widespread flash flooding and river flooding. 

DEMA reports that tornadoes, strong damaging winds and large hail are all threats to the region on Thursday.
