Summer baseball series at the plate for University alumni
9:31 a.m., June 14, 2013--University of Delaware alumni can enjoy the national pastime as part of a summer baseball series.
Events in coming weeks include games in San Diego, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Miami and Seattle.

Other alumni activities in coming weeks include the following:
Thursday, June 20, 5:30 p.m.: Chicago networking. Alumni in Chicago are invited to a casual networking happy hour the third Thursday of each month.
Wednesday, June 26, 5 p.m. Baseball series: San Diego. Alumni are invited to a summer baseball series event in southern California as the San Diego Padres take on the Philadelphia Phillies at Petco Park. The will be a pregame dinner at Basic Pizza.
Saturday, June 29, 3 p.m.: Philadelphia Union soccer. Blue Hens can enjoy tailgating and soccer at PPL Park in Chester, Pa., as the Philadelphia Union takes on FC Dallas in an MLS game.
Saturday, June 29, 4:10 p.m.: Baseball series: Los Angeles. The summer baseball series will continue with alumni invited to Dodger Stadium for a picnic and game featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Saturday, June 29, 5:15 p.m.: Baseball series: Baltimore. Alumni are invited to a summer baseball series event at Camden Yards, where the Baltimore Orioles will take on the New York Yankees. There will be a pregame reception at the B and O Warehouse.
Saturday, June 29, 5:30 p.m.: Delle Donne WNBA game. The Chicago Alumni Club will welcome UD’s Elena Delle Donne of the WNBA Chicago Sky when the team takes on the Los Angeles Sparks.
Tuesday, July 9, 6 p.m.: Philadelphia happy hour. The Philadelphia Alumni Club will host a happy hour at Tietra Restaurant, 231 S. 15th St.
Saturday, July 13, 4:30 p.m.: Baseball series: Miami. Alumni are invited to a summer baseball series event at Marlins Park in Miami, where the Marlins will host the Washington Nationals. There will be a reception at the Home Plate Terrace.
Saturday, July 13, 5 p.m.: Baseball series: Seattle. Alumni in the Pacific Northwest are invited to the Owl n’ Thistle Irish Pub in Seattle for food and beverages before heading to Safeco Field to watch the Mariners take on the Los Angeles Angels.
Saturday, July 13, 6 p.m.: Baseball series: Reading, Pa. Alumni are invited to cheer on the Reading Phillies and enjoy a buffet at the Foul Porch at First Energy Stadium. Reading will be taking on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
Saturday, July 13, 6:30 p.m.: Baseball series: Aberdeen. Alumni are invited to a summer baseball series event at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md., where the Aberdeen Ironbirds will battle the Williamsport Crosscutters.
