UD Police investigate report of naked man near Townsend, Worrilow halls

1:59 p.m., July 6, 2012--University of Delaware Police are investigating the report of a man exposing himself to three women around 10 p.m., Thursday, July 5, in the area of Townsend and Worrilow halls on the University's south campus in Newark.

The women reported seeing a naked man in the wooded area on the west side of Worrilow Hall, near the bus stop on South College Avenue. The man began smacking his buttocks, and they ran from the area.

He is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, with an average build and brown hair. The women did not see his face. 

UD Police officers responded to the scene and, with assistance from New Castle County Police, conducted a K9 track with negative results. The track ended in the parking lot behind Towsend Hall. 

According to police, the incident appears to be related to six similar incidents in the area since May 2011.
