UD community contributes holiday toys for children
12:45 p.m., Jan. 15, 2013--The Toys for Tots campaign coordinated by the Department of Public Safety gathered 11 boxes full of toys to be distributed to needy children in the community.
During November and December, Public Safety hosted a drop-off site for the program, which is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. New, unwrapped toys were donated and then distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

"We had wonderful support from across the UD community," Yvonne Simpson, business administrator in the Department of Public Safety, said. "We're thankful to everyone on campus for this outstanding show of participation."
The UD toy drive was coordinated by Master Police Officer John Betsch.
