Latin American and Iberian Studies announces film, dance series
8:19 a.m., Feb. 18, 2013--The University of Delaware’s Latin American and Iberian Studies Program has announced a monthly film and dance series.
The events are open to UD faculty, staff and students.

Pizza and other refreshments will be offered at the start of each event.
The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, Feb. 26, Juan of the Dead (2011), a Cuban zombie thriller. Pizza and refreshments will be available in the Memorial Hall third floor lounge at 5:30 p.m., and the film screening will be in 127 Memorial Hall at 6.
Tuesday, March 12, Revolución (2010), 10 short films about the contemporary legacy of Mexico’s 1910 revolution. Pizza and refreshments will be available in the Memorial Hall third floor lounge at 5:30 p.m., and the film screening will be in 127 Memorial Hall at 6.
Sunday, April 21, Neighboring Sounds (2012), a reflection on inter-class tensions and security fears in a Brazilian neighborhood. Screened as part of UD’s International Film Series. Pizza and refreshments will be available in 103 Munroe Hall at 6:30 p.m., and the film screening will be in the Trabant University Center Theater at 7:30.
Thursday, May 2, Tango Night. The moves, music and history of the tango, the sensual dance that has become synonymous with Argentine culture. Those who plan to attend should come prepared to try a few steps. The event will be in Multipurpose Room C of the Trabant University Center, with pizza and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. and a dance workshop and discussion at 6.
