Gregory Miller, chair of the Department of Psychology, cited Clark’s professionalism, social skills and ability to work with others both within the department and beyond.

“Kimberly’s success at working with diverse staff outside our department ensures that projects get done on time and under budget while University policies are carefully followed,” Miller said. “Personnel leaders elsewhere on campus have enlisted Clark to help them with extra projects and training new staff members.”

Karen Antes, records processor in Records Management, said that Clark’s attention to detail, provision of back-up documentation and timely submission of forms streamlines the payroll process for her department.

“If Kimberly has questions, she will contact our office or the dean’s office (College of Arts and Sciences) to get the answers,” Antes said. “She is always pleasant and willing to help with any issues.”

Describing herself as being surprised and grateful to be nominated for the award, Clark said she enjoys her current position because it is both challenging and rewarding.

Clark said she especially takes pride in assisting faculty, students and staff with HR-related issues while seeing that UD policy is followed.

“I enjoying sharing ideas and materials with others involved in HR on campus,” Clark said. “It’s a pleasure to work with all of the Human Resources staff.”
