UD's Campus Living Expo showcases on-campus living options, coming changes

8:40 a.m., Feb. 11, 2013--University of Delaware students can come in out of the cold for the chance to win a free year of on-campus housing or other great prizes at this year’s Campus Living Expo. The 2013 expo is scheduled from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

Students are encouraged to “find their way home” with a mini tour of the campus. Students will be able to explore where they could live in the fall, asking questions of Residence Life and Housing Assignment Services representatives along the way.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The expo marks the first day that students can sign up for 2013-14 campus housing. For more information about the sign-up process, how friends can select a block of rooms together, theme or special interest housing, and all housing options, visit the Housing Assignment Services website.

Other Campus Living Expo features include:

• Facilities Planning and Construction renderings of the new East Campus residence halls and the new Academy Street residence halls;
• Prizes such as meal plans, semesters of priority for housing, and a full year of on-campus housing;
• A buffet from UD Dining and drinks sponsored by Pepsi; and
• Music with DJ Amaze.

The Campus Living Expo is sponsored annually by Facilities and Auxiliary Services, Housing Assignment Services and Residence Life.
