Black Graduate Student Association announces meeting

3:11 p.m., Feb. 26, 2013--The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) at the University of Delaware will hold a general meeting from 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7, at the Center for Black Culture

BGSA invites students to join in the second discussion in its “Dialogues in the Dark” series, where those attending will openly discuss taboo topics. This month's topic is “True Life: I am a Grad Student,” and attendees discuss the challenges associated with surviving grad school. Light refreshments will be available.

Feb. 11: Diversity Open Forum

Members of the University of Delaware community are invited to a Diversity Open Forum at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

Feb. 12: 'Thinking Geographically'

Sarah Witham Bednarz, president of the Association of American Geographers, will deliver an invited lecture at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, in 116 Gore Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Immediately following the discussion, BGSA will sponsor a social hour at Catherine Rooney's on Main Street from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
