Feb. 28: 'The People's Report'
BAMS screens 'People's Report' documentary on violence in Wilmington
8:28 a.m., Feb. 13, 2013--The University of Delaware Department of Black American Studies will present a screening of The People’s Report, a documentary on violence in Wilmington, Del., from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Multipurpose Room of the Trabant University Center.
The 45-minute film highlights studies on physical violence and structural inequalities in the city by Yasser Payne, associate professor in the department, and the Wilmington Street Participatory Action Research (PAR) team.

A panel discussion with PAR team members exploring solutions to violence in inner city communities will follow the screening.
