Alumni Weekend volunteers

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking the assistance of UD employees during Alumni Weekend, which will take place June 5-7.

Housing application changes

In order to manage the occupancy of University of Delaware housing so that all second-year students who wish to live on campus for 2016-17 have the greatest opportunity to do so, the housing application process for returning and upper-division students will change significantly beginning in September 2015.

The following questions will be addressed within this workshop: How can more media be incorporated into teaching? What films and videos are available for class viewing? How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in my class?

The session will begin with a tour of the Film and Video Collection Department facilities, which include viewing carrels, a Viewing Room and a Media Research Room.

Participants will be shown how to search the collection in DELCAT and WorldCat Local and how to access streaming video databases. They will be given an online tour of the Film and Video website.

Note that this session does not cover services and resources offered by the Student Multimedia Design Center.

The workshop is scheduled from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Film and Video Collection Department, Morris Library, lower level. Presenter will be Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian, Film and Video Collection Department.

This workshop is available at no charge and is open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available.

Questions regarding the workshops can be answered by calling 302-831-2432 or email at lib-workshops@udel.edu.
