The 2012 campaign was co-chaired by Nancy Brickhouse, interim provost, and Jennifer (J.J.) Davis, vice president for finance and administration, who thanked the community for its support and praised the efforts of Michele Jones, UD United Way campaign coordinator, and the many volunteers across campus.
“The University of Delaware community has a long tradition of generosity in supporting the United Way of Delaware,” Brickhouse said. “The needs were particularly great this year, with the destruction left in the wake of Superstorm Sandy that affected so many of our neighbors."
"We are grateful for the outstanding support provided by our colleagues at UD again this year," Davis said. "The money raised will make a real difference to so many people throughout Delaware. Special thanks go to Michele Jones who led a dedicated and energetic team of volunteers."
“This was an extraordinary effort that could not have happened without the hard work of the many volunteers across our campus, and the commitment of the campus community,” Jones said.
