New 'Research tabs'
Working with sponsored program data in UDataGlance becomes easier
2:39 p.m., Aug. 3, 2012--As of Aug. 2, two new tabs are available in the University of Delaware's UDataGlance -- a user-friendly web interface with which to perform daily administrative tasks -- for reviewing and monitoring proposals and awards.
“The sponsored program data will have the same great features of the Financial Summary tab: friendly interface, summarized financial data and drill-through capabilities to transaction detail and many originating Web Forms for proposal and award data,” said Chris White of the University Research Office.

The Proposal Data tab offers new views, both summarized and in detail, in which users can see current and historical proposals, including status, budgets and associated project IDs and personnel. This tab also provides a Proposed PI Effort page that shows, in one place, all effort proposed for a principal investigator.
The Award Data tab will, for the first time, “let you see all the financial data for an award rolled up into a multi-project view,” White said.
The Award Budget page allows users to toggle between views by budget period or project ID. The Award Actuals page is similar to the current Financial Summary page but includes all the transactions for an entire award.
Training on the new functionality will be available soon. In the meantime, the Research Office invites UDataGlance users to explore the Research tabs and their sponsored program data.
