New UD website featuring resources for parents launched

3:42 p.m., Aug. 29, 2012--Parents and families now have a dedicated doorway into their students’ college experience online. The newly launched University of Delaware Parents website includes resources from dozens of University departments together on one page.

Users can access news and visitors’ information along with important phone numbers and links to helpful information regarding:

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The site features a dedicated “My Finances” area, where parents can access tools provided by Student Financial Services, including details on how students can grant parents access to online financial data.

Parents and family members are encouraged to bookmark the site and make it their first stop when seeking information during their students’ years at UD.

The website was created by the Office of Communications and Marketing with assistance from the Division of Student Life, Undergraduate Admissions, University Student Centers, Housing Assignment Services, Residence Life, Office of University Development and Alumni Relations, Office of the Registrar, Office of Campus and Public Safety, Office of the Executive Vice President and University Treasurer, Student Financial Services and Information Technologies.
