Aug. 18: Amish country trip

UD department co-sponsors Amish field trip on sustainable lifestyles

8:32 a.m., Aug. 2, 2012--The University of Delaware's Department of Animal and Food Sciences and the Society of Natural History of Delaware will co-sponsor a field trip on sustainable lifestyles to Amish country in Kent County on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Participants can see Amish-style technology, organic farming, renewable energy, a greenhouse and a furniture factory.

Through May 10: 'The 39 Steps'

The University of Delaware Resident Ensemble Players will present "Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps" through May 10 at the Roselle Center for the Arts.

April 28: Innovation showcase

The Horn Program's inaugural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase on April 28 will feature innovative projects, new businesses and the final round of the Hen Hatch Startup Funding Competition.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. Participants will meet at the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control parking lot.
