HR sets series

HR Briefings Just for You information series announced

12:10 p.m., April 12, 2013--University of Delaware Human Resources’ Employee Education and Development has announced a new information series titled HR Briefings Just for You.

Dedicated to various human resource topics, these one-hour sessions will be facilitated by HR staff experts.

Linda Stacy, administrative assistant and human resources liaison for Student Health Services at the University of Delaware, has been named HR Liaison of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2015.

Faculty Roundtable

The May 1 First Friday Faculty Roundtable session will be an "unconference" style meeting where participants can set the agenda.

Areas of focus include labor relations, benefits, compensation and classification, records management, payroll and recruitment.

The individual sessions will provide information and engagement for those individuals who perform human resource functions within the University.

Upcoming topics include retirement asset allocation and diversification, an overview of benefits, unemployment and workers compensation, educational benefits and workforce planning.

The series will provide employees with knowledge of key HR functions that can help guide strategic decisions.

The next session, “Strategies to Hire Right the First Time,” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23. The briefing is for those who are involved in the hiring process at UD. To register, click on the link or visit the EED website.
