May 4: Creek Fest
Campus community invited to annual White Clay Creek Fest
9:54 a.m., April 29, 2013--The fifth annual White Clay Creek Fest will be held from noon-4 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at the Carpenter Recreation Area of White Clay Creek State Park off Route 896 north of Newark.
On hand will be representatives of the Water Resources Agency at the University of Delaware and the UDairy Creamery, which will provide ice cream.

Creek Fest celebrates the many ways to enjoy and protect White Clay Creek, a National Wild and Scenic River. There will be music, entertainment, food and information.
The event is sponsored by the White Clay Creek Wild and Scenic Program in partnership with Delaware State Parks, United Water Suez Environment, the National Park Service, the American Mushroom Institute, city of Newark and Friends of White Clay Creek State Park.
The rain date is May 5.
Although the event is free, Delaware state park fees of $3 for an in-state vehicle and $6 for an out-of-state vehicle are in effect.
