April 4: BGSA meeting

Black Graduate Student Association sets general meeting, social hour

2:18 p.m., April 1, 2013--The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) at the University of Delaware will hold a general body meeting from 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4, at the Center for Black Culture.

BGSA members will discuss issues relevant to the community, both locally and nationwide, with this month’s topic “Gun Violence in America.”

Sept. 22: 'Disabled Upon Arrival'

Jay Dolmage, associate professor at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, will present a talk titled "Disabled Upon Arrival: Technologies of Disablement and Racialization at the Border" at 3:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 22, in 127 Memorial Hall.

Sept. 23: Fall Career Fair

The University of Delaware Career Services Center will host its annual Fall Career Fair from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Immediately following, BGSA will hold a social hour from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Catherine Rooney’s on Main Street.
