May 16: Poster Day

Psychology students to present results of research

1:28 p.m., May 8, 2012--Students who worked on research projects in the University of Delaware's Department of Psychology this year will share their experiences and findings at the department's annual Poster Day, held this year on Wednesday, May 16.

Anyone interested in viewing the posters and hearing students explain their research is welcome to attend the event from 4-5 p.m. in 002 McKinly Lab.

April 21: BAMS lecture series

UD doctoral candidate Abdul-Malik Muhammad will speak on the topic "We Can Save Our Boys of Color: Promising Practices from the Field" from 12:30-1:45 p.m., Monday, April 21.

April 21: Lakota Sioux to speak

A delegation of Lakota Sioux will discuss opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline during a presentation at 7 p.m., Monday, April 21, in 100 Kirkbride Hall.

"Students who have participated in past years have really enjoyed the chance to consolidate what they have learned and to learn from other posters," said Beth Morling, associate professor of psychology. For those students not presenting a poster, she said, the event "is a great way to learn about research opportunities" in the department.
