Edgemoor Gardens celebrates neighborhood transformation
11 a.m., May 18, 2012--On Friday, May 18, residents, stakeholders, public officials, and community volunteers will gather in Edgemoor Gardens to celebrate the transformation of the neighborhood through the implementation of the community’s revitalization plan.
In strong partnership with the University of Delaware Center for Community Research and Service, the Edgemoor Revitalization Cooperative (ERC), Blueprint Communities, and Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware have worked together to support the community development efforts of this neighborhood just outside the city of Wilmington.

The completed construction of 10 new affordable housing units marks another milestone for this community. Several of the newly renovated houses will be open for a walking tour during the celebration.
Also during the celebration, County Executive Paul Clark and several other leaders involved in the community’s revitalization efforts will take a few moments to speak about the many successes that have been achieved over the last several years in Edgemoor Gardens.
The event will be held from 4:30-7:30 p.m., on Friday, May 18, at the ERC Resource House, 41 South Cannon Drive, Wilmington. It is open to the public.
