May 25: BGSA luncheon

Black Graduate Student Association to host celebratory luncheon


8:32 a.m., May 23, 2012--The University of Delaware Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) will host a graduate luncheon from 1-5 p.m., Friday, May 25, in 219 Trabant University Center.

All faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend. This is an event designed to celebrate the accomplishments of graduate students who are receiving master's and doctorate degrees this year.

Dec. 1: 'Alice' manuscript

A talk by August A. Imholtz Jr. marking the 150th anniversary of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" will be held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in the Morris Library on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Dec. 2: UD Night at Winterthur

University of Delaware students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the winter festivities at UD Night at Yuletide at Winterthur from 4:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2.

BGSA is a student-run organization open to all individuals from a variety of academic disciplines and programs who are dedicated to support students of African descent in the pursuit of graduate and professional advancement at the University of Delaware.

Recently, BGSA was recognized for its efforts to celebrate diversity on campus by being the first student group awarded the Student Ambassadors of Diversity Award by the Office of Equity and Inclusion.
