As part of the May 10 fair, the UD Employee Wellness Program is sponsoring the HealthyU Screening Zone. For just 10 Wellness Dollars, you may choose to participate in any or all of the following health screenings: bone density, skin cancer, blood glucose and blood pressure. Health professionals from Burke Dermatology, Christiana Care Health System, Delaware Pharmacy Society and the University of Delaware will provide immediate results of the screenings and discuss them with participants on an individual basis.

At the fair, employees are also invited to attend two special events in the Trabant University Center Theatre. From 10:30-11:30 a.m., a MetLife representative will provide information and answer questions about the new life insurance options and this 2012 special open enrollment.  (Additional meetings about the new life insurance options will be held the week of May 14. See the Human Resources website for the schedule.)

A panel discussion from 12:15-1:15 p.m. on “Your Choices: Putting The Pieces Together” will feature expert guests from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware, Aetna and Medco.  Join them for an informative discussion about your health and benefit decisions and their impact on your sense of well-being.

Open enrollment

The 2012 Benefits Open Enrollment period is scheduled for May 7 through May 23. During this period, benefits-eligible employees may review or change their benefits enrollment online. Detailed information is included in the 2012-2013 edition of Get the Best from Your Benefits, which is available on the Office of Human Resources website.
