9:42 a.m., March 2, 2012--"Projects in Progress," an opportunity to meet faculty members whose research and teaching activities have been supported through the Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center (IHRC) at UD, will be held Tuesday, March 13, from 5-6:30 p.m. The location has been changed to Gore Recital Hall in the Roselle Center for the Arts.

Part of the College of Arts and Sciences, the IHRC was created in fall 2009 to strengthen faculty research and creative activity, support multidisciplinary research and teaching, and foster public engagement in the humanities.

Campus Stories

Revolutionary change

For the first time since the American Revolution, resident and anadromous fish will be able to spawn and swim freely from tidewater to freshwater along the White Clay Creek.

Popcorn and probability

Using popcorn, STEM teachers from area high schools tried out some interdisciplinary, hands-on lessons in a UD laboratory.

The center recently announced several new or continuing projects encompassing such areas as environmental humanities, the history of fashion, gardening and the human relationship with nature, and a musical celebration of the humanities.

Anyone interested in attending the March 13 presentations is asked to RSVP to ihrc@art-sci.udel.edu.
