Cal's Iglesia to deliver Kurt Wohl Memorial Lecture at UD

9:35 a.m., March 28, 2012--Enrique Iglesia, Theodore Vermeulen Chair in Chemical Engineering at the University of California Berkeley, will deliver the Kurt Wohl Memorial Lecture at 10 a.m., Friday, April 13, in 102 Colburn Laboratory on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Iglesia, who also is faculty senior scientist in the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will speak on the topic "Confinement Effects and Catalysis by Acid Sites and Metal Clusters." An abstract and additional information is available in PDF format.

Iglesia joined the Berkeley faculty in 1993 after a decade at the Exxon corporate research laboratories. He has served as editor in chief of the Journal of Catalysis, as president of the North American Catalysis Society and as director of the Berkeley Catalysis Center.
