2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

“While you’re using Google Apps at UD, information about your udel.edu account and how you use it will not be shared outside of the udel.edu domain,” said Pat Sine, director of IT Client Support and Services. “It won’t be aggregated or mingled with any Google data.”

“When we signed the contract for Google Apps at UD, we made sure that the contract is in compliance with our responsibilities under FERPA, HIPAA and other federal and state laws,” she added.

To allay concern about the effect of the new privacy policy on existing Goople Apps for Education contracts, Google’s vice president of enterprise, Amit Singh, issued a statement saying that, "The new privacy policy does not change our contractual agreements.”
