Employee Wellness sets panel discussion on bicycle commuting
1:13 p.m., March 5, 2012--For those who have considered making their route to work healthier and more eco-friendly, the Office of Human Resources’ Employee Wellness Program invites University of Delaware employees to attend a panel discussion about bicycle commuting.
The panel discussion will be held on Thursday, March 22, from 12:05-12:55 p.m. in the Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center.

Those who attend will have an opportunity to learn more about local transportation policies that impact bicycle safety, hear from two successful bicycle commuters and find out more about buying a bicycle and accessories.
Panelists include:
- Mark Deshon, of UD’s Institute for Public Administration in the School of Public Policy and Administration, a bike commuter who will highlight efforts of the Newark Bicycle Committee and review the results of a recent UD employee bicycle survey.
- Ann Marie McKeever, of UD's Office of Communications and Marketing, who will share practical tips for bicycle commuting success.
- Tom Harvey, owner of Wooden Wheels Bike Shop, who will demonstrate what to look for when buying a bike.
