Reward increased in fatal April 30 hit-and-run case
11:11 a.m., June 5, 2012--Newark Police have announced an increase in the reward for information about the fatal hit-and-run collision on April 30 that killed Helen Yang.
Leon Weiner & Associates Inc., owner of Main Towers Apartment Complex, has added $2,500 to the previous $10,000 reward offered by Ms. Yang's family. The reward is for material information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver involved.

Ms. Yang was crossing Library Avenue near the Newark Free Library when she was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling southbound. The driver did not stop after the collision.
According to Newark Police, the striking vehicle may have been a black 1998 to 2002 four-door Honda Accord and it may have sustained right side damage during the collision.
