For the Record, May 24, 2013

For the Record provides information about recent professional activities of University of Delaware faculty, staff, students and alumni.

Starting in mid-June, Blue Hens abroad will keep the UD community updated with their pictures, stories and videos through blogs and UD’s official social media accounts.

2012 Plastino Scholars

This summer’s Plastino Scholars are an ambitious group of students who have been awarded grants to conduct research on subjects that will have them span the globe. Updates from Minnesota to Bangladesh, covering topics such as food system reform, adoption, political issues and more will be featured weekly on UD’s Facebook page and other accounts.

Where in the world is YoUDee?

Each week, student Travel Ambassadors from one of the University’s many study abroad programs will post a picture of a stuffed YoUDee they brought with them on their trip to the official UD Facebook page.

Using clues in the photo, those at home will be asked to guess “Where in the world is YoUDee?” For each picture, the first Facebook user to answer correctly will win a prize, such as a gift card or a T-shirt.  Later in the week, pictures from that Travel Ambassador's trip will be featured on various social media platforms.

Dare to explore the Olympics

For the first time ever, UD Social Media goes to the Olympics! UD Social Media will host updates and pictures from Summer 2012: London BHAN students Megan Belger, Hillary Brown, Dana Bressler and Susan Skaleski will share the excitement they're experiencing at the London Olympics firsthand.
