FYI Stories

Moving in

Members of the Class of 2018 will move in on Saturday, Aug. 23, with other new and returning students to follow. Many UD offices and departments will offer special hours and services through the weekend.

Monitoring and planning

UD is monitoring the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa, and the University's Student Health Services has developed plans to deal with any issues that may arise on the campus.

“Experience shows that the Morris Library is still heavily used on Martin Luther King Day, even though no classes are given,” Susan Brynteson, vice provost and May Morris Director of Libraries, said. “The University of Delaware Library is trying to meet the needs of library users.”

The agriculture, chemistry, marine studies and physics libraries will be closed.

The electronic library of the University of Delaware Library, which is available 24/7 online, provides access for UD faculty, students and staff to a rich array of online library resources including DELCAT, WorldCat Local, databases, full-text information, electronic journals and newspapers, Research Guides, the Institutional Repository and much more.
