UD alumni plan special events including sports, lectures
1:35 p.m., Jan. 31, 2012--University of Delaware alumni will gather for a variety of special activities -- including sports and lecture presentations -- in the coming weeks.
Alumni will cheer on the Blue Hens women's basketball team on Sunday, Feb. 5, enjoy a Delaware Art Museum lecture series and spend an evening with actor Steve Schirripa on Monday, Feb. 13.

Activities are as follows:
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 6:15 p.m.: Kent and Sussex Young Alumni Trivia Night in Dover. Join the local Kent and Sussex Alumni Club at Doc Magrogan’s in Dover for Trivia Night.
Sunday, Feb. 5, 11:30 a.m.: UDAA Pre-game Event at Women's Basketball. Prior to watching the nationally ranked Blue Hens take on Virginia Commonwealth University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest, join the UD Alumni Association (UDAA) for a pregame lunch in the lobby of the new addition of the Bob Carpenter Center.
Thursday, Feb. 9, 6 p.m.: Baltimore Alumni Club Happy Hour. Join Baltimore area alumni for networking and conversation over a few drinks at The Waterfront Hotel.
Friday, Feb. 10, 12:30 p.m.: Delaware Art Museum Spring Lecture Series -- Director's Delights. An introduction to the series and to the history of the Delaware Art Museum's collection will be held by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Delaware in Wilmington.
Monday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m.: Evening with Steve Schirripa. A riveting interview and question-and-answer session with actor Steve Schirripa, noted for his work in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The Sopranos.
Thursday, Feb. 16, 6 p.m.: Young Alumni Happy Hour at Ladder 15. Join Philadelphia area alumni for networking and conversation over refreshments at Ladder 15.
Friday, Feb. 17, 12:30 p.m.: Delaware Art Museum Spring Lecture Series -- Director's Delights. Join Danielle Rice, director of the Delaware Art Museum, as she takes a personal look at some of the major masterpieces in the museum.
