Dates, speakers announced for spring 2012 School of Nursing series

3:12 p.m., Feb. 10, 2012--The School of Nursing at the University of Delaware has announced dates and speakers for its spring lecture series. 

All lectures will take place on Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. in Room 114 McDowell Hall.

Restaurant reopens

The renovated student-operated restaurant Vita Nova reopened Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Trabant University Center.

CTAL Scholars Program

A new Multiversity Project to investigate the learning outcomes from taking multicultural-designated courses is being initiated this fall at UD as part of the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning Scholars Program.

The lecture series consists of three events:

  • Feb. 29—“Health and Cognition in Older African Americans: The Role of Cardiovascular Risk Factors,” Regina Sims, assistant professor, School of Nursing.
  • March 21—“Working Effectively with People from Cultures Different from Yours,” Kelebogile Setiloane, associate professor, Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition.
  • April 18—“Adolescents’ Thoughts About Teen Parenting,” Judith Herrman, associate professor, School of Nursing.

All lectures are free and open to the public.
