School of Nursing invites nominations for annual alumni award

3:44 p.m., Feb. 27, 2012--The School of Nursing at the University of Delaware invites nominations for its annual alumni award, which recognizes extraordinary nurse alumni who have excelled professionally, demonstrated a commitment to excellence in nursing, and made contributions to the community.

The award is open to all School of Nursing alumni who graduated at least five years ago. Selection criteria include professional accomplishments, contribution to the community, and commitment to excellence.  In addition, the recipient must be available to receive the award during Alumni Weekend, June 1-3.

Members of the University community and the public may submit nominations. Self-nominations are also permitted.

Nominations should include the alumni award form, which can be downloaded on the School of Nursing homepage, and a resume.  Nominations may be submitted electronically to ajohnson@udel.edu or by hard copy to Amy Johnson, School of Nursing, University of Delaware, Newark, DE, 19716.
