University Library offers 'Understanding Multimedia File Formats' workshop
1:45 p.m., Feb. 14, 2012--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on “Understanding Multimedia File Formats” on Thursday, March 15.
The workshop will help participants to make informed choices when creating and managing multimedia files. Participants will learn the difference between a JPEG and GIF, when it would be better to save an audio recording as a WAV or MP3 and how to differentiate between a variety of audio (e.g., MP3, WAV, etc.), graphic (JPEG, GIF, PNG, etc.) and text formats (PDF, etc.).

As a result of this hands-on workshop, faculty, staff and students will be able to make informed choices.
The workshop will meet from 1-2:30 p.m.,Thursday, March 15, in the Student Multimedia Design Center, Room B, lower level of the Morris Library. Presenter will be Hannah Lee, affiliate assistant librarian, Student Multimedia Design Center.
This workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited; registration is required and can be completed online.
