UD Facilities and Auxiliary Services launches eNews

11:29 a.m., Feb. 21, 2012--There’s a new spot to find the latest news and information about the University of Delaware’s Facilities and Auxiliary Services (FAS).

FAS has partnered with UD’s Office of Communications and Marketing to publish an online newsletter, Facilities and Auxiliary Services eNews, six times a year.

The Office of Residence Life is looking for volunteers to join the Arrival Survival Team that will help new students move into residence halls on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Each edition of eNews will contain articles, videos, updates on current projects, profiles of the dedicated people who make up UD’s FAS community and more. 

David Singleton, vice president for facilities and auxiliary services, said the online newsletter presents a new opportunity to communicate and share information among the nearly 700 employees in the unit.

Singleton said he hopes that those outside of FAS will also find the newsletter helpful. "For almost everything we do, there’s a customer outside our organization, and we should always strive to understand our customers’ needs and promote good communication with our customers," he said.

The first edition of Facilities and Auxiliary Services eNews was published in February. It can be read online here. The next issue is scheduled for April.  

Readers are invited to submit story ideas for future editions.
