August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble to perform at UD
2:59 p.m., Feb. 10, 2012--The acclaimed August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 16, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
The August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble, from Pittsburgh, Pa., brings the multicultural dance community together while keeping the black dance tradition at the forefront of the region’s dance community.

The ensemble was founded in 2009 by Greer Reed-Jones, who serves as the artistic director. As a former member of the internationally acclaimed Ailey II and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Reed-Jones has catapulted this group as one of the premier contemporary dance companies in the United States.
The performance will be presented by UD's Cultural Programming Advisory Board. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are free with UD student identification, $5 for UD faculty and staff with ID and $7 for the general public. There is a limit of two tickets per UD ID.
Tickets will be available at UD box offices and through Ticketmaster outlets beginning Monday, Feb. 13.
