Alumni Enrichment Awards
UD Alumni Association modifies award eligibility criteria
7:49 a.m., Feb. 16, 2012--The University of Delaware Alumni Association (UDAA) has implemented several changes to the Alumni Enrichment Awards (AEA) program, effective with the spring semester.
Created in 2001, the AEA program provides, through financial assistance, opportunities for students to enrich their education at the University of Delaware. The changes include the following:
Campus Stories
Honors breakfast
PSIR Convocation
- Legacy students only are eligible to receive funding. “Legacy” is defined as a student who has a parent or step-parent who is a UD graduate. No exceptions to this policy will be made and legacy status will be verified.
- Registered Student Organizations are no longer eligible to apply.
- Application deadlines: Feb. 29 (notified by March 22) and April 18 (notified by May 10).
Up to $2,000 per individual may be awarded to allow students to take part in opportunities outside of the traditional classroom in which the student may not otherwise be able to participate.
These opportunities to enrich the UD experience may include, but are not limited to, academic competitions, research or program-related presentations, leadership conferences, research, service-learning or other academic endeavors.
Receipts must be submitted to verify expenses for all money received.
For more information and to download the AEA application and related paperwork, see the enrichment awards website.
