Civic leadership

Twenty-three college students from 16 different countries came to UD as part of a Middle East Partnership Initiative program focused on civic leadership.

“This is a way to thank the faculty who lead the programs and to recognize the students who served as great ambassadors for UD around the globe through their participation in the study abroad program,” said Institute for Global Studies Director Matthew Robinson.

More than 1,000 students participated in 50 faculty-led programs in 30 countries this past Winter Session. UD currently ranks fourth among top public doctorate-granting institutions in the U.S., with more than one in three UD students participating in study abroad programs.  The University will mark its 90th anniversary of offering study abroad in 2013.
