Library celebrates 'Delaware and the Civil War Amendments: Constitution Day'
1:12 p.m., Aug. 30, 2011--The University of Delaware Library announces a special webpage, “Delaware and the Civil War Amendments: Constitution Day,” which will address the passage of the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the Constitution in relation to Delaware.
The webpage gives information about the amendments and the post-Civil War period and provides resources for more in-depth research. The webpage was created in conjunction with Constitution Day.

A 2005 federal law established “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day” and requires educational institutions to provide programs about the Constitution every Sept. 17 in commemoration of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.
