New store in town
UD Bookstore opening festivities adjusted
6:02 p.m., Aug. 28, 2011--With the change in the academic calendar caused by Hurricane Irene, the opening week festivities for the new UD Bookstore have been adjusted.
Following is the new schedule of activities:

Monday, Aug. 29: No giveaways at the Apple Authorized Campus store, but the Bookstore will be open its regular hours from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 30: UDairy Creamery will be offering free samples from 1-4 p.m., and the first 200 customers at the Apple Authorized Campus Store will receive a free Apple water bottle.
Wednesday, Aug. 31: Free samples of Starbucks coffee will be available in the Blue Hen Café from 1-4 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 1: The grand opening ribbon cutting is scheduled at 11 a.m., followed by a booksigning with Sam Calagione of Dogfish Brewery, author of Brewing Up a Business.
Friday, Sept. 2: Members of the Class of 2015 can come by from 1-4 p.m. and pick up their free T-shirt. And while they're there, freshmen will be able to sign the Class of 2015 banner. Sept. 2 is also Delaware Colors Day and everyone is encouraged to show their Blue Hen spirit by wearing UD colors that day.
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3: Customers get 20 percent off their entire purchase of logo merchandise.
The new UD Bookstore, which has been open since Aug. 1, is located at 83 East Main St.
Regular UD Bookstore hours are
Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fridays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sundays, noon-6 p.m.
Hours for the Blue Hen Café are
Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
