Campus Stories

From graduates, faculty

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The majority of Townsend Hall’s rear parking lot will be blocked for tent installation on Wednesday evening and will remain blocked until the event concludes on Saturday evening.

In addition, the one-way street that runs between the UD Ice Arenas will have intermittently reversed traffic flow beginning on Thursday, April 26, at 2:30 p.m.

On Saturday, April 28, Ag Day visitors will be encouraged to park in the lots at the UD Ice Arenas, Delaware Field House, Delaware Stadium, north and south Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) campus, and SEPTA/DART lots.

No parking will be available around Townsend or Worrilow Halls and traffic around the area will be restricted.

Students, faculty, staff and the greater Newark community are encouraged to attend. Visit the Ag Day website for details.
